Meeting with the new language

3. Lead in

T: Good. My name is Miss Xu. I’m miss xu.(板书、带读,pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation of Xu). Tell me your name, please.

Step2

Making use of the new language

 Story time

1. Are you…?

     Good. You are …(当同学们面向大家介绍自己I’m…时,适当重复 you are…)

2. Talk about the pictures

     T: Look at Picture 1. This is …

     Ss: Mike/Yang Ling/Su Hai

(ask the children to meet them)

T: Good, what will they say?

     (Hello, hi, good morning…)

     T: Look at Picture 2. This is …(Liu Tao)

     T: Look at Picture 3. What will they greet?

3. Ss watch the cartoon and answer the questions:

Does Mike know Yang Ling?

Does Mike know Su Hai and Liu Tao?    

4. Read

a. read together

b. Read in group (give them stars for assesment)

c. Read in roles(Group 1 is Mike, Group 2 is Yang Ling, Group 3 is Su Hai and Group 4 is Liu Tao).

5. Act

After the children read in roles, devide them into different groups and ask them to practice.

  Then ask them to act.(ask the children to assess like this, how many stars can they get and ask them to give the reason)
