Step 1 Greeting &Warm up

1. Sing a song: Animals

In my house, I have a dog. Woof! Woof!   I have a cat. Meow! Meow!

I have a bird. Tweet! Tweet!     I have a mouse. Squeak! Squeak!

On my farm, I have a chicken. Cluck! Cluck!   I have a sheep. Baa! Baa!

I have a cow. Moo! Moo!         I have a pig. Oink! Oink!

In my zoo, I have an elephant.         I have a monkey.

I have a snake. Hiss! Hiss!       I have a tiger. Roar! Roar!

(播放歌曲二遍)

2. Look and guess.

T: Now let’s play a game. I will show you three animals. Let’s guess what they are.

a. It has two feet. (新授a foot) It has two small eyes. It likes carrots. It has two ears. It can jump and run. What is it? rabbit

b. It has four legs. Look at its legs. It’s cute. (新授a leg) It has a fat body. (新授 body) It has big ears. What is it? pig

c. It has a long tail. (新授tail) It has two big wings. (新授wing) It has a small head. It can fly in the sky. What is it? bird

【设计意图:欣赏歌曲Animals,活跃课堂气氛,温故知新have的用法,同时在Look and guess游戏中渗透文本中的新单词,丰富语言。

Step 2 Presentationfree talk

T: There are many animals in the song. What are they?

S1/S2: Tiger, monkey ...

T: Do you like animals? Do you have an animal friend?

T: I have an animal friend. Its a fish. This is its body and that’s its tail. It has no legs or arms. It has no feet. Its lovely. I like it. (新授fish, body, tail) 引出课题Unit 3 Our animal friends

Step 3 Story time

1. Watch and match. (播放课文动画寻找答案)

T: What animal friends do they have?

S1: Nancy has two fish.

S2: Mike has a dog.  

S3: Liu Tao has a rabbit.

S4: Su Hai has a parrot.

说课

在热身环节,教师通过Animals这首歌曲导入教学,歌曲以三个不同的地点场景my house, my farm, my zoo呈现了各种动物,丰富灵动的词汇,逼真有趣的画面,不仅活跃了课堂气氛,也起到了对I have 句型温故而知新的作用。接着,教师通过一个简单的游戏提早渗透文本中的新授词汇。

Story time教学应当注重其故事性和文本性。教学三步走,首先简单介绍自己的动物朋友,集中呈现了文本的新词汇,词汇教学只要求能随文识意,大致了解;其次通过询问What animal friends do they have?了解他人的动物朋友,对文本进行整体感知;而后通过设计不同形式的活动分步解读文本,由Read and tick解析第一段,由Read and fill in the blanks了解第二段,由Read and complete分析三、四段,注重学生文本阅读策略和技能的指导,引导学生关注文本细节,学会把握关键信息。

朗读时,教师尽量引导学生模仿录音,注意语音语调的变换,重读、弱读等朗读技巧的处理。接着,教师指导学生依据板书复述文本,四人一组,任选一个动物朋友描述,降低难度扩大参与面。最后,教师设计了描述自己的动物朋友活动,学以致用,真正做到让学生用英语做事情。
